Case study: 8th Annual Conference of the European Sociological Association

Image: 8th Annual Conference of the European Sociological Association. The European Sociological Association required a website for their 8th annual conference. The website would need to integrate with Glasgow Caledonian University’s payment system for online bookings.

As this is a major international conference, we knew from the start that the websites would end up with a huge amount of information for delegates and participants – therefore a lot of though was put into the design of the site navigation scheme.

Highlighted features

  • A booking form was developed to integrate with the Glasgow Caledonian University payment system.
  • An abstracts submission feature was developed to enable speakers and participants to submit research paper abstracts.
  • A simple navigation scheme was developed to ensure that the site was not difficult to use despite the large volume of content available.

The conference is long gone, however the website is still available at http://www.esa8thconference.eu.
